Where he was stationed: Vietnam April 1964-April 1965 and January 1966-January 1967. George was an intelligence analyst with the Army Security Agency.
Career: National Security Agency 1968-1976

Any additional notes the veteran would like to share:. George’s ASA unit was the first unit deployed to Vietnam in 1961. It suffered the first fatality in a deployed unit.

Years of Service : 14 Nov 1969 to 8 Nov 1971
Where he was stationed: Basic at Fort Dix, NJ, AIT ( Counter Battery, Counter Mortar Radar Operator) at Ft Sill, OK, Bamberg Germany (Company CLerk)
(6 months) and Tuy Hoa, Vietnam (Finance Clerk) (1 year)
What has the Veteran done since they left the Military: Various Banks and US Postal Service.
Career: Asst. Bank Examiner at FDIC:Branch Manager and Internal Auditor of Peoples Bank & Trust, Indianapolis, IN, Branch M;manager of Capital Bank, Miami Beach, FL,; Mortgage Loan Officer at Guardian Savings Bank, Cincinnati, OH, Postal clerk and Supervisor at US PostaL Service.

Any additional notes the veteran would like to share:. I was drafted into service after college in November 1969. It was the last year of the draft before the lottery. In 1970, my lottery number was low enough I would have been called. I am an inactive member of the American Legion. I attend a monthly breakfast of the Hornet Breakfast Group. I am a frequent donor to the USO and Disabled American Veterans
Kenneth and Donald Keniston
Brothers from Mt. Washingon who were aboard the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.
The article to the left indicated that as of Dec. 11 their fate was unknown. However through records research on the casualty list from the USS Arizona https://www.pearl-harbor.com/arizona/casualtylist.html

Stanley Gravett
Rank: Master Sergeant 55th QuarterMaster Depot Reims France 1945
After the War: He returned home and eventually settled down on Prilla Lane
with his wife Margaret and their son Ronald Stanley Gravett where he resided for the remainder of his life.
While in Reims he was interviewed by a reporter from WCPO Radio through the U.S. Army Radio Service about his work with the redeployment of 15,000 troops from the European Continent to war in the Pacific. The 55th was responsible for the tents, cots, blankets and clothing and in this case mosquito netting for the Pacific climate.
